Arnold Clyde Hearon

Arnold Clyde Hearon age 86 of Paducah, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2013 He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Jo Russsell Hearon, two daughters, Stephanie (Mike ) Benefiel, and Pamela (Dick) Hodges. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Amy ( Jonathan ) Sietsma, Lori (Chad ) Joiner, Grant Benefiel ( fiance' Jennifer Ruth ) Heather Blackston, and two step-grandchildren, Michelle Hodges and Nathan Hodges. Arnold was blest with seven great-grandchildren.

Arnold was born September 22, 1927 in Morehouse, Missouri to Clyde Lovell Hearon and Ena Minnich Hearon. After his father's death, his mother moved to Paducah and married his beloved stepfather Charles Sexton. Arnold remained a life-long resident of Paducah. Arnold worked as an electrical salesman, retiring from Hannan Supply Company in 1989.He enjoyed many hobbies including singing in a barbershop quartet, fishing, playing golf and square dancing.  He was well known in the area as a square dance caller. Arnold loved people and loved life. He met each day with an easy manner, a genuine smile, and a funny story to share with anyone he met. He was an avid UK Wildcat basketball fan.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon till funeral hour Thursday. The family request memorial contributions be made to Korsair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

  So sorry to see Arnold's name in the paper. We were their neighbors when we first married. Arnold and Jo were the best. I know Arnold will be missed by everyone, especially Jo. May God bless you all.

 My sympathy to all the family especially to Jo. I worked with Arnold for about 12 years at Hannan Supply. He was a very special person and ALWAYS made me laugh. I will say a special prayer for all the friends and family today.

We could not have had a better landlord if we handpicked one ......... we enjoyed our monthly visits, you could feel the warmth and love upon entering their home .......... Arnolds outgoing personality was always a treat ...... we miss him already .... I know he will be a welcome addition to Gods children in Heaven, yet, there is a cavern of loss here on earth for those who knew and loved him .......
