Betty Jo Clayton Young

Betty Jo Clayton Young age 87 of Paducah, KY. passed away at 1:45 A.M. Saturday May 4, 2013 at the Lourdes Hospital.

She was a native of Madisonville, KY. and was a member of the Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 70 years William E. ( Buddy ) Young, her two daughters, Gina Noss and husband Richard of Paducah, and Karen Smith and husband Jim of Paducah. Four grandchildren, Patti Slankard of Paducah and Kevin Record of Ballard Co. KY., Krista Gronefeld Claflin and husband Claude of LaLuz, New Mexico and Katelin Feeney of Louisville, KY. Eight great grandchildren, Devin Wright LeNeave and husband Kaleb of Versailles, KY., Vance Slankard of Paducah, Kayla Record of Kevil and Blake Record of Ballard County, KY. and Hunter, Morgan, Tanner and Gavin Claflin of LaLuz, New Mexico. and also a special niece and nephew, Kathy Bohle and Terry Frazier of Paducah. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Clayton and Ovilla Clayton Swilley and one sister, Billie Frazier. Betty was a homemaker, and an inspiring woman, she  was a devoted friend to many, including Bill W.. Her memory will be cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to your favorite charity, in memory of Betty.
