Blanche "Mildred" Solomon Watkins age 86 of Paducah went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 12;38 P.M. from her residence surrounded by her family.

Mildred was a native of Marshall County Kentucky. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church for 56 years, an associate member of the Paducah Fire Fighters Union and a member of the Bridge Street Eagles Club. She retired from the Florsheim Shoe Factory. Mildred was know to many as "Meemaw" and she loved being a Mother, Grandmother, and a Great grandmother. She always spent time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren so they would know how much she loved them. Meemaw loved to dance, listen to gospel music and country music playing dominoes, exercising and relaxing on her porch swing. She is survived by her daughter, Milda Watkins Reising ( Stephen) of Owensboro, KY., two sons, Ronnie Dale Watkins ( Gloria) and Earl Lee Watkins ( Beverly) both of Paducah. Her daughter-in-law, Belva Watkins of Paducah. One brother, Wayne Solomon ( Patricia ) of Paducah. Two sisters,  Kathleen Hausman ( Richard ) of Nashville, TN. and Marjorie King of  Sharpe, KY. Nine Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Watkins, one son Bobby Ray Watkins, one brother, Charlie Ray Solomon two sisters, Willie Mae Solomon  Myers, Dorothy Louise Watkins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday July 16, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Sills and Rev. Nathan Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery in Marshall County. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday July 15, 2014 at the funeral home and from 9:00 am till funeral hour Wednesday. Family request memorials be given to the West End Baptist Church 324 South 28th Street Paducah, KY. 42003.
