Bonnie Shoulta

March 27, 1946 — January 25, 2022

Bonnie Shoulta, age 75 of Paducah died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Lourdes Mercy Health.  She was born the daughter of the late James  Robert “Bob” Norsworthy, and the late Katie Paul Norsworthy.  She was co-owner of Phil’s Electronics.  She enjoyed designing floral arrangements and often arranged and designed wedding flowers and other events.  She loved watching University of Kentucky basketball, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.  Her passion however was her involvement and service to ministries in her church.  She was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and was involved in costume design for the Christmas presentation; The Gift.  She volunteered and served as a cook at youth and children camps for many years at Southland.  She thoroughly enjoyed her service to her church.  She loved her family and loved every moment spent with her grandbabies.

 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Southland Baptist Temple with Pastor Jimmy Franks officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Southland Baptist Temple from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  and also Monday, January 31, 2022 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 She is survived by her husband: Phil Shoulta of Paducah; her sons: Robert “Dobber” Shoulta (Sara) of Barlow, and Mark Shoulta (Cindy) of Marshall County; her daughter: Lori Smith (Kenny) of Paducah; her step brother: Phil Wright (Marilyn) of Paducah; her sisters: Betty Brewer of Lone Oak and Belinda Bofferding (Kevin) of California; her step sisters: Mary Helton of West Paducah, and Ann Troup (Bo) of Paducah; her six grandchildren; her nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson: Brandon Michael Smith; her sister: Barbara Yeo; and her step mother: Nolie Norsworthy.

 In lieu of flowers, you may choose from one of the ministries Bonnie was involved with at church.  They are as follows:

 The Gift – A Christmas production featuring the life of Jesus Christ.

 The Brook – A feeding and clothing center that feeds and cloths those who are in need.

 Church Camp – Providing funds for a child or youth that may not have the funds to go to camp.
