Brian Keith Wallace, 69, of Calvert City, passed away on August 16, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah, from complications of MDS, a bone marrow cancer.

He grew up in Metropolis, Illinois, where he was well known as "Joe Cool" for being kind and outgoing, full of laughter, and always making new friends.

Originally hired as a temporary laborer at TVA's Shawnee Steam Plant in 1977, he joined the training program and eventually became a unit operator. He retired in 2022 as an operator in the electrical control building, after more than 35 years of service.

Brian is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dana (James) Wallace; daughter, Brandy Cheyenne Meadows (Michael) of Metropolis; stepchildren, Ryan Guill (Lindsey) of Collierville, Tennessee and Ashley Guill of Calvert City; 4 grandchildren, Savannah & Jessy Meadows and Nolan & Olivia Guill; a brother, Brent Wallace (Connie), of Springfield, Missouri; and his beloved cats, who brought him so much joy and helped him through the hardest days.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.G. Wallace, and stepmother, Elizabeth (Dotson) Wallace; and his mother, Patsy Jane (Howard) Brown, and stepfather, Charles Ray Brown.

No services are scheduled at this time.
