Butterfly Release May 13, 2023

On Saturday, May 13, 2023 Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home was honored to participate in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum's 2nd Annual Butterfly Release.

Family members and friends participated by releasing butterflies in honor or memory of a loved one.  We gathered on the ground of the cemetery for what was a wonderful and moving tribute to the lives remembered that day.

The names of those being honored were read aloud for all to hear and family members to remember.  There was music, laughter, tears of joy as memories were shared and also tears of sadness as we mourned their recent passing.  

Participants were reminded to remember the good memories and encouraged to keep those memories alive by telling their story.  The world was better by their presence, and we were encouraged to honor them by living fruitful and productive lives ourselves.
