Charles "Ted" Dimmick Jr., a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in Paducah, KY. Ted was born on April 22, 1954, in Joliet, IL, the son of the late Charles T. Sr. and Rosamary Dimmick.
Ted was a strong, stubborn, and caring man, who showed his love with deep sarcasm and a huge grin. He loved his family and would defend them until the end. He was known for his love of horses and the outdoors; a cowboy, born in the wrong time. He enjoyed his beloved Harley Davidson, embracing the spirit of adventure with every ride. An ardent supporter of Illinois sports teams, he proudly cheered for all Chicago teams, with the exception of the Cubs, of course. He loved to enjoy a beer with his friends and family while dancing to his favorite music. He absolutely loved life. His vibrant personality and commitment to his interests endeared him to family and friends alike.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Rulinda Dimmick; two sons, Charles "Ted" Dimmick III (Samantha) of Olathe, KS, and Adam Rosenberger of Georgetown, TX; one daughter, Melissa Dimmick-Walden (Jerry) of Lockport, IL; and his sister, Ellen (Dimmick) Schroll of Lockport, IL. The family is eagerly anticipating the arrival of his first grandbaby, further enriching the legacy Ted leaves behind.
His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. As a family man and friend, Ted will be remembered not just for his interests but for his joyful spirit and unwavering support for his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.
No services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research are appreciated. Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dimmick family.
