Benton

Daniel Russell Woosley, born on February 21, 1979, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away on May 1, 2025, in Rapid City, South Dakota. He leaves behind a legacy filled with love, music, and unforgettable memories.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Woosley officiating.  Burial will follow in Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County, KY.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.

Daniel was a cherished member of Hardin Baptist Church, where he found community and fellowship. He was known for his deep passion for music and his exceptional skills as a guitar luthier, dedicating much of his time to crafting beautiful instruments. His love for music was matched only by his joy in spending time outdoors, whether it involved fishing or playing basketball, or working out, which earned him the affectionate title of "Gym Rat." Friends and family will always remember his contagious smile and big heart, which he generously shared with everyone around him.

He is survived by his parents, David and Nancy Woosley of LaGrange, Kentucky; his fiancée, Kristy Hull of Rapid City, South Dakota; his sons, Benjamin Woosley and Simon Woosley, both of Benton, Kentucky; and his daughters, Elana Woosley of Draffenville, Kentucky, and Amberly Woosley of Benton, Kentucky. Daniel is also survived by his brother, Jon Woosley (Ellen) of Springfield, Kentucky; and his sister, Amy Armstrong (Mark) of Paducah. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his nieces and nephews: Julie Weatherby (Cade), Makayla Woosley (Tommy), Bethany Woosley, Alexis Woosley, Ethan Ragsdale (Samantha), Isaiah Ragsdale, Annalee Woosley, and Brinkley Armstrong, as well as three great-nephews and two great-nieces, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his infant daughter: Rachel Woosley, gone too soon; his maternal grandparents, JT and Geneva McCracken, his paternal grandparents, Sam and Irene Woosley.

His devoted pets, Roadie the dog and cats Lucy and Lizzie, were integral parts of his life, reflecting his love for animals and companionship. Daniel's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Woosley family during this time.
