James David Kelley, born in Paducah, Ky on November 16, 1948 to Edward & Wilma Kelley. He has two daughters: Nicole (Quincy) Cressler of West Paducah, and Teri Jo Passantante of Northridge, California.
He has 4 grandchildren: Dalton, Brayden, Trace and his favorite granddaughter: Simiya. Over his lifetime, he was an avid duck hunter at the Yancy Place in Monkeys Eyebrow Hunting Area, and all over Ballard County. He also owned and operated The Shirt Shack and at the Heath mall for over 40 years.
He was married to Debbie just days shy of 40 years. Together they ran The Shirt Shack Beach Shop in Grand Rivers, Kentucky for 39 years.
He attended Heath High School where he excelled in the band and on the basketball team.
Retiring in the last few years allowed him to spend more time with Simiya, fishing and sitting on the porch. They had a special bond that she will forever cherish.
