Dr. Clayton Winston Beasley

February 26, 1936 — March 13, 2020

Dr. Clayton Winston Beasley, age 84 of Paducah died Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.  He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee, the son of the late Ellison Beasley Sr., and the late Alda Jane Beasley.  He retired from General Motors, Inc. He is the former pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Paducah and Oakalone Christian Church in West Paducah,  he is recognized in the Cambridge Who's Who, he was a graduate of Simmons Bible College, he was a graduate of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville where he earned his Doctorate of Ministry on December 14, 2001.  He was the first African American professor at Mid-Continent University.  He was recognized as the Duke of Paducah on March 30, 2008.  He was a member of Forest Baptist Church in Louisville.  In addition to being a pastor, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Evangelist Karen Burton officiating and Dr. James Hudson eulogist.  Entombment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Arch L. Heady Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville.  Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2020 from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home .  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Mary Harris Beasley of Paducah; his sons: Officer Scott Beasley (Erica) of Cincinnati, Ohio,  and Terry  Beasley of Cincinnati, Ohio; his daughter: India Dawn Beasley of Louisville, Kentucky; his brothers: Ellison Beasley, Jr. (Rev. Mary) of El Paso, Texas, George Beasley (Barbara) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Asmar Seifullah of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sisters: Mary Boggs (John) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Estella Gibson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Velma Williams also of Cincinnati, Ohio; his five grandchildren: Terry Beasley, Jr., Dana Beasley, Infinity  Beasley, Arabian Beasley, and Inyla Beasley; and his three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Christie Love Beasley.
