Elizabeth J. Summers

Elizabeth J. Summers, age 90, passed away on November 3, 2026, at Southgate Nursing & Rehab in Metropolis, Illinois. She was born on June 26, 1936, in Thebes, Illinois.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie “Jacks” Summers, and by her parents, John and Libby Staton.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward. She is survived by her daughters, Debora Heal (Alan) of Metropolis, Linda Short (Greg) of Karnak, MaryAnn Womack (Jimmy) of Grand Chain and Sharlet Summers of Metropolis. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chris Summers; JoeLynn May (Ben Smith); Keith Short (Amy Dalton); Tyler Womack (Candy); Charles Anderson (James Dahl); and Emmalee Anderson. Also cherishing her memory are her sister, Urma Thomas (Paul), her brother, Ronnie Staton (Linda) and fourteen great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews and other family members. Surrounded by the love of her family across generations, Elizabeth’s life will be remembered with deep affection, gratitude, and lasting love.

Visitation will be held on November 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson Street, Paducah, Kentucky 42003. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Dean Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Anderson Cemetery, Boaz Rd., Boaz, Illinois 62956.

Elizabeth will be remembered with love by all who knew her, and her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and friends.
