Erwin Blankenship

Ledbetter

Erwin Blankenship, age 71 of Ledbetter passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah.  He was born the son of the late Charles R. Blankenship, and Loretta Blankenship of Ledbetter.  He was a licensed plumber, licensed electrician and worked in the family business of Blankenship Homebuilders.  He enjoyed bowling, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and music was always a passion of his where he was allowed to display his guitar and vocal abilities.  He was of the Baptist faith.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at the Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son: Jerry Wayne Blankenship (Mary) of Sharpe; his brother: Stewin Bear Blankenship (Tonya) of Salem; his sister: Sheila Childers of Ledbetter; his five grandchildren: Brandon English (Destiny), Chelsea Woodward (Logan), Austin Gudino,  Rainey, and Lathan; his five great grandchildren; his niece: Tina Scott of Ledbetter; and his nephew: Hunter Blankenship (Victoria).

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Dia MIchelle Blankenship Gudino.
