Frank Burch

Francis M. "Frank" Burch, age 84, of Paducah, KY, died Friday, April 5, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah, KY.  Frank was born the son of the late Joseph and Margaret Burch.  Frank proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 - 1963.  He was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church.  Frank retired from the Paducah Police Department after twenty-seven years of faithful service.  Following his retirement, he worked as a security guard at Baptist Health in Paducah for eleven years. Frank was a member of Cursillo, a St. Mary's Alumni and attended FBI school.  After retirement, Frank immersed himself in volunteer work.  He volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul, Community Kitchen, and at Baptist Hospital. Frank truly loved people and never met a stranger.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah with Father Brad Whistle officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Paducah, Ky.  Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 9:00 am until the funeral hour at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Paducah. 

Frank is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Burch of Paducah, KY; his sons:  Carl Hugh Johnson (Anna Lissa) of Washington, NC; Thomas Hampton Burch (Janna) of Indian Trails, NC; Matthew David Burch (Sharlee) of Lexington, KY; his brothers: Phil Burch of Little Rock, AK; James Burch of Las Vegas, NV; his sister Margaret Burch Worth (Tommy) of Paducah KY; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Pat Burch.
