Gayle B. Lamar

Gayle B. Lamar, 78, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Baptist Health Paducah. She was born on July 12, 1948, in Providence, Kentucky, the daughter of the late George Marlin and Lelia Katherine Buie.

Gayle will be remembered for a life marked by faith, dedication, and simple joys that brought meaning to her days. She worked as a bookkeeper at H & S Farm Supply for 19 years before retiring. She loved going to southern gospel concerts, and her enjoyment of that music was a reflection of the deep faith she carried with her. Gayle was also a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, where her belief and devotion were an important part of who she was.

She is survived by her sister: Ann Davis of Paducah.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: David A. Buie, Daniel F. Buie, and Robert M. Buie; and her sister: Marion Crowley.

Those who knew Gayle will remember her as a woman of quiet strength, enduring faith, and sincere devotion to the people and values she held dear. May her memory bring comfort to her family and friends in the days ahead.
