Gene S. Barger Jr. age 66 of Paducah passed away Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 5:54 P.M. at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center at Lourdes Hospital.

Mr. Barger was a native of Paducah and was of the Baptist faith. He was the former owner of Paducah Heating and Air and co owner of Air- Tech. He had worked in heating and air since 1967. He loved motorcycles and the outdoors. Surviving is his wife, Jane Ford Barger of Reidland. Three daughters, Ullonda Barger of Paducah, Jean Marie Reed (Darrell) of Sharpe, Ky. and Cheryl Durard ( Chad ) of Ledbetter, Ky. Two sons, Jonathan D. Barger of Il. and Mike Culp ( Christina) of Ledbetter, KY. Ten grandchildren, John Michael Huddleston, Savanna Asher and fiancee  Hungta Lin Megan Reed, Lacie Reed, Ashley Cagle, Austin Walters, Tana ( Buddy) Cuieington , Tara ( Seth ) Martin, Wesley Culp and Brentley Culp. Three great grandchildren, Noah Cagle, Jaxon Cagle and Maggie Jo Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene S. Barger Sr. and Elizabeth B. Burrows Barger and one brother.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 9, 2015 at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev Bill Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County. Friends may visit with the family Friday May 8. 2015 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. till funeral hour. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity. The family would also like to thank the nursing staff of the third and fourth floors, ICU and the Hospice Unit of Lourdes Hospital for their wonderful care and support shown to them during their stay.
