Gene Harbin

Gene Harbin age 72 of Gilbertsville, Ky. passed away Saturday Dec.6, 2014 at 10:50 a.m. at the Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

Mr. Harbin was a native of Alabama. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the East Marshall Baptist Church. He worked for the ICG Railroad as a boilermaker and also worked as a Heating and Air Contractor. Mr. Harbin was a also a member of the Gideon"s. He is survived by his wife, Julya Paschell Harbin. One daughter, Terri Harbin Clark (Kenneth) of Prosper, TX. One son, Jeffrey Lee Harbin of Paducah. Two step sons, Blaine Outland ( Angie ) of Murray and Kerry Outland (Kim ) of Princeton, Ky. Two sisters, Yvonne Smith of Winfield, AL. and Margaret Drummond (Phillip ) of Northport, AL. Two brothers, Ted Harbin ( Kathy ) of Salyersville, KY. and Danny Harbin ( Rhonda ) of Winfield, Al. Two Grandchildren, Cody Lee Harbin of Murray, KY. and Casey Austin Harbin of Lone Oak, KY. Six step grandchildren, Neena Outland, Justin Outland, Madison Outland, Wesley Outland, Caden Outland, and Railey Outland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Jackson Harbin and Elsie Smith Harbin, two brothers.

Funeral Service will be held today Dec. 8, 2014 at 6:00 P.M. at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Brinker officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 p.m. till funeral hour. Burial will take place in Alabama.
