I am so sorry for your loss. Hallene was such a special lady and good friend. We used to tease her that she was just part of our family. For someone who didn't like to eat desserts, she sure did bake and share a lot with so many others. I've often wondered how many tons of sugar she used in baking over the years. She made the world a sweeter place in many ways!

Larry, Karl & Brian..I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Hallene. She was such a great person. I will always remember visiting her with mom & dad (Ruth & Bill Whited) and getting up in the mornings to her fabulous country breakfast's. Don't know if Heaven will be safe with her and mom up there. You know every time those two got together there was some serious talking. Know in your heart that she is in a better place. You know we just lost Vanessa last June and I know the sadness you are going through, just keep her in your hearts always. Love & miss you guys. Linda

Brian, Tomorrow, you will get up and put on your Sunday's best blue jeans to say farewell to life that was well lived and full of purpose and well loved by many. It is a time to mourn but also a time to rejoice. I can picture her now entering heaven, the heavenly father waiting and Amos not far behind. I'm sure she'll give them all the biggest hug and probably a good "talkin' to" to Amos for leaving her behind so early in life. She loved that man so much. Every time I spent with her, from a young age while delivering commodities or helping around her apartment, and even when visiting the nursing home, she was full of stories about him. Some of the comical, some of the serious, all of them about the kind of love they shared. They had a kind of love that many can only wish to have and I'm happy that she is getting to see him again. I've reflected on what I knew of her life over the past couple of days. She really was a miraculously kind and stubborn woman with a heart of gold and spunk of a woman half her years and a baking talent that would have given the bakeries around here a run for their money. I am glad that she was a part of my life, and she gave me one of the greatest things in my life that I cannot thank her enough for, which is you. She gave me the best role model and father a person could ask for. She will be missed greatly missed here, but this time is only temporary. So, it's not really good-bye, it's see you later and I look forward to the day we do. Love you lots.

The best mother-in-law anyone could have. She was a very loving and thoughtful person. She will be missed.

The Neal's were just like family to us, the finest of neighbors and we will miss Hallene dearly, so many fond memories. God rest her soul.
