James David ( Chuckar) Morgan age 74 of Paducah passed away Friday September 18, 2015 at 11:15 p.m. while surrounded by his loved ones, to be with his heavenly father.

Mr. Morgan was a native of McLean County Kentucky. James was a dedicated servant of Paducah's Gospel Assembly Church for 47 years. Some of his responsibilities included serving as head usher, choir member, van driver for the elderly and much more.  He was a retiree of Shawnee Steam Plant, was owner and operator of Morgan Pools and among many other jobs, he was an agent for American National Insurance in Paducah and Owensboro. James had many talents and hobbies. He enjoyed woodworking, was a wonderful cook, was a poet, a clock builder an avid gardener and he loved to travel. James was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Betty A. Joiner Morgan. One daughter, Joy Morgan Spear of Paducah. Two sons, David Morgan and Keith Morgan and wife Lori both of Paducah. Six Grandchildren, Tyler Morgan, Megan Cadmus, Lacee Parker ( Beau), Kyle Morgan, Kaytlin Dyal (Justin), Kaylee Morgan. Two brothers, Dennis Morgan of Owensboro and Harold Morgan of IN. One sister, Judith Riggs of Owensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glover Morgan and Alma Sunn Morgan.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 22, 2015 at the Gospel Assembly Church with the Rev. Encil Edmonds and Rev Mike Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Dyer Hill Cemetery in Livingston County, KY. Friends may visit with the family Monday at the Keeling Family Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. till 8: P.M. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. till funeral hour. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be give to the Gospel Assembly Church 2100 Ohio Street Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
