John Wayne "Java" Gulley

October 3, 1969 — November 4, 2019

John W. "Java" Gulley, age 50 of Mayfield died Monday, November 4, 2019 at Baptist Health in Paducah.  He was born the son of the late Ernest Brelsford and the late Joyce Webb Brelsford.  He was a truck driver.  He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, was a member of the Good ol' Boys R.C., and loved to cook.  He was a member of Free Spirit Biker Church.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah with Bro. Dennis Lawrence and Bro. Tony Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife: Christie Gulley of Mayfield, Kentucky; his sons: Eric  Byerley of Kevil, Kentucky,  Adam Byerley of Paducah, Kentucky, and Kevin Byerley of Bardstown, Kentucky; his brothers: Jim Pannell (Denni) of Karnak, Illinois, and Don Brelsford of Eddyville, Kentucky; his sister: Margaret Leach (Kenny) of Paducah, Kentucky; his six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter: Evonia Holt.
