Mae Ellen Simmons

Mae Ellen Tolbert Simmons, age 81, of Paducah, KY died Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Stonecreek Health and Rehab. She was a retired cook on towboats for Marqette Transportation for 21 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Paducah.

Survivors include one son, David Simmons and wife, Beth Ann, Paducah, KY; one daughter, Tonjua Miles Yopp, Paducah, KY; one brother, Otis “Skinner” Tolbert and wife, Denise, Unionville, IL; one sister, Lyla Hayden, Paducah, KY; four grandchildren, Evan Yopp and wife, Grace; Jeran Simmons; Joshua Yopp and wife, Brittany; Shanden Simmons; and three great grandchildren, Logan Leith, Miles Yopp, Landyn Yopp.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Mildred Culp Tolbert; and one brother, Tom Tolbert.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home, 2410 Jackson Street Paducah, KY with Pastor Jimmy Franks officiating.  Burial will follow in Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Keeling and Goodman Funeral Home.
