Robert T. Newberry

Robert T. Newberry, a loving husband, doting father, dedicated employee, and a proud U.S. Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2024, at U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born on March 22, 1947, in Paducah, KY, to the late Robert T. and Eula Newberry.

Robert was known for his unwavering dedication and exceptional work ethic throughout his career. After retiring from Arkema, where he worked as a Machinist out of the IAM Local 1969, his colleagues held him in high regard for his expertise and professionalism. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Robert had a zest for life that radiated through his hobbies and interests. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors—whether it be hunting or fishing or simply connecting with nature and appreciating its beauty. 

Robert's family meant the world to him. He leaves behind his two children who brought immense pride into his life; his daughter, Robyn Monroe (Joey) of Ledbetter, KY; and son, Steven Newberry of Boaz, KY; and his devoted dog, Bear. 

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cynthia Paris Newberry.
