Rosalie Buttry Cornwell, 63, of Paducah passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
Rosalie was born on February 2, 1961, in Wyatt, Missouri to the late William "Willie" and Bessy (Wyatt) Buttry. She went on to live a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her Christian faith. She dedicated many years working in the deli at Banks Market where she formed lasting friendships with colleagues and customers alike. Her passion for a good cup of coffee and iced tea was only surpassed by her love for spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren who held a special place in her heart.
Rosalie is survived by her beloved daughter, Tonya Pollard (Mike) of Paducah; four brothers, Tommy Buttry (Sandy) of Sikeston, MO, Leroy Buttry of Michigan, Larry Buttry (Kim) of Charleston, MO, and Charles Buttry of Sikeston, MO; one sister, Gladys Cast of Alto, IL; three grandchildren, Derrick Bivens (Dakota), Brianna Bivens, and Brandi Free; as well as one great-grandchild, Jordan Ross.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Cornwell; her son, Donnie Buttry; two brothers, Billy Buttry and Ray Buttry; and one sister, Bonnie Neal. Although Rosalie has left this earthly realm, her memory will continue to live on through the lives she touched with kindness and compassion.
A Funeral Service for Rosalie will take place at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Jason Tubbs officiating.
