Shylia Storm Bennett

Shylia Storm Bennett, 31, walked into the loving arms of family & friends on July 25th at 4:20 pm after fighting the last of many medical battles.

Born January 06, 1994, Shylia came into this world already fighting - low weight and cysts on her little kidneys, forcing her to spend her first 3 months at Kosair's Hospital before coming back to her one & only home - Paducah, Ky.

Blessed to be by her side throughout her many triumphs & battles was her loving Mother & Best Friend, Darleen Bennett.

While on this Earth, we are grateful to say that she had 6+years to know true love from her fiancé, Chris Mills. If Shylia wanted the Moon, Chris would get it without hesitation.

Shylia also had a very special bond with her Uncle Jerry Day. They were always there for each other.

Shylia leaves behind her best friend & mother, Darleen Bennett ( Doug Long) and her fiancé Chris Mills. One sister, Danielle Day ( James Burns) and two nieces- Brooklyn & Zoey Burns, three uncles - Jerry Day, Jesse Day and Ronnie Hill ( Marlene ), long time friend, Laken Long and many cousins. We also want to thank three very special nurses that Shylia loved & were always there- Amy, Rose and Christy. Thank you for loving our girl!

Welcoming Shylia with Open Arms & Love; Aunt Lisa Hill, Papaw Jess Day, Mamaw "B-Hoop" Betty Day, Brenton Hooper, and her father, Doug Bennett.

Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Visitation honoring Shylia on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 5-7pm at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home, Paducah Ky.
