Sylvia Blair Huddleston

Sylvia Blair Huddleston age 98 passed away at 11:15 P.M. Wednesday July 10, 2013 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab. 

Sylvia was born September 6, 1914 daughter of Sugg and Irene McElrath Blair. She married Jake Huddleston in 1935, they were married over 52 years. They had three children, Ricky ( Debbie) Huddleston of Kevil, KY., Melva June Fortson of West Paducah, and Rodney Huddleston who preceeded her in death in 2009. She has five granddaughters, Kennitha Davis, Deena Bass, Brandi Harless, Kelli Culver, and Crystal Anderson. Seven Great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and loved each one with all her heart. She also had one very special sister, Mary Griffin of Paducah. One brother Sam Blair of Paducah. A very special friend Rhonda Wyatt of Metropolis, IL. Several nieces, nephews and friends and she loved them all. Besides her husband, son and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Goldie Burnett, Lillian Alexander, and Christene Pullen. one bother Paul Blair and a son in law James Kenneth Fortson. Sylvia was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle of Paducah for over 50 years.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday July 14, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Whetstone officiating. A private burial will take place Monday at the Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 P.M. till funeral hour.

 My deepest sympathy to each and everyone of you. Sylvia was a very special lady whom I always admired and loved and I have thought of her often. Years go by but good memories last forever. May God Bless and comfort each of you.
