Thomas P. "Tommy" Hayden

Thomas P. "Tommy" Hayden, 63, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, June 14 2024, at his home.

Born on December 28, 1960, in Paducah, Tommy's impact on the community was profound. He was a beloved member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church dedicated countless hours volunteering at the Community Kitchen in Paducah. Tommy's selflessness extended even further as he served as a 4th Degree Knight with the John Fallon Assembly 312 and was a valued member of the Holy Rosary Council 1055.

In addition to his community involvement, Tommy's love for sports, particularly his passion for UK Basketball, brought joy to those around him. His warm personality and willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. However, the one thing Tommy loved more than sports was every moment that he was able to spend with his best friend, Taco. This four-legged, furry companion brought immense joy to his life and overflowed his heart with love. 

Tommy was preceded in death by his loving parents, Archie Thomas and Melva Jean Hayden. 

He is survived by his two sisters, Diane Hill (Donnie Cornwell) of West Paducah, and Nancy Ragain (Tommy) of Anna, IL. Tommy's legacy of compassion and service will live on through his family and friends who cherished him deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 12:00 noon at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 am until the funeral hour at the church. Directly following the service, the family invites you to join them for a meal in the parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council #1055, 3028 Jefferson Street, Paducah, KY 42001.
