Thomas "Tommy" Coreau, age 57, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and cherished member of the Paducah community, passed away on June 7, 2026, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. Born on May 9, 1969, in Paducah, Tommy was a lifelong resident whose genuineness and dedication left mark on all who knew him.

Tommy was a proud graduate of high school and spent his career as a self-employed mechanic, a true “gear head” with a profound love for old cars and trucks, particularly Chevrolet. His passion extended beyond mechanics; in his younger days, he enjoyed airbrushing t-shirts, license plates, and sneakers, showcasing a unique artistic flair. He also loved drawing, expressing his creativity throughout his life.

Known for his dependable nature and big heart, Tommy was a great storyteller and valued family above all else. His pride was clear: his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was of the Christian faith and demonstrated this through his compassionate actions, including his generous decision to be a donor for Network of Hope, exemplifying his desire to help others even beyond his lifetime.

Tommy's personality was a beacon of warmth and sincerity. He gave the best bear hugs and was known for telling everyone he loved them whenever he saw them. To know Tommy was to know someone who truly valued every relationship, recognizing friends near and far, even those from childhood. His presence was so magnetic that his wife, Abbi, often tried to avoid stopping at red lights to prevent him from striking up conversations with those in the car next to him. The mold was indeed broken after Tommy—he was one of a kind and always gave tenfold of himself to those he cared about.

He is survived by his loving wife, Abigail Coreau; sons, Samuel Coreau (Atleih Nichols) and Joseph Coreau, both of Paducah; daughters, Kathleen Coreau, Kelsey Mitchell (Jeffrey) of Benton, Charolette Coreau (Ethan Worley), as well as Margaret Coreau (Cameron Young) of Paducah; his brother, Theodore J. Coreau Jr. (Karen) of Paducah; and cherished grandchildren, Evangeline Bryum, Bentley Brisbin, and Hunter Jane Mitchell; nephew, John Andrew Coreau; niece, Amy Marie Owens.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandmother:  Helen Fosko, his parents, Theodore J. Coreau Sr. and Brenda Marie Coreau and his infant daughter, Vidalia Coreau.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later time to honor Tommy’s memory and the incredible legacy he leaves behind. Those who had the privilege to know him will remember a man of great heart and soulful spirit—a beacon of love, laughter, and genuine connection. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.

Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Coreau family.
