Gene White

Gene White, age 80 of Brookport, Illinois died Monday,  September 27, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital in Paducah.  He was born the son of the late Atlee White, and Annie Bell Williamson White.  He was a member of the Boilermakers Local Lodge No. 363 in Belleville, Illinois.  He worked as a steeple jack building tall bridges and buildings.  He was a member of the Brookport Church of God.  He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He loved to travel, enjoyed reading, making jewelry, and spending time with grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Betty White of Brookport, Illinois; his sons: Timothy Puckett (Cathe), Daniel Puckett (Shirley), Kelly Gustin (Betty), Sean Gustin, and Atlee White (Elaine); his daughters: Rose Davis (Steve), Lisa Timmons, and Casey Smith (Mark); his twenty three grandchildren;  his twenty five great grandchildren; and his five great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Glen Puckett.
